Why Join

Learning how to improve cancer treatment is a process that takes time.
Today’s cancer patients benefit from the medical knowledge gained through studies done before, just as future cancer patients will benefit from what we learn through research studies today.

ColoCare study volunteers are vital to advancing our knowledge about improving health after a cancer diagnosis. Your involvement now can make a difference for future colorectal cancer patients.

Washington University joined the ColoCare Consortium in 2016 and is dedicated to enrolling 300 African American colorectal cancer patients in the study.  Hundreds of patients have been recruited from the other sites so far, but minority representation is low.  We want the results of our study to be beneficial to the entire population at risk for colorectal cancer, so our participants must include racial and ethnic minorities.
